OAC Surfers, Moon Doggies, Kooks and Dukes!

Spend the day in Bolinas enjoying the beach and working on your surf skills.
It seems like lots of people take an introductory lesson for surfing, then have to flail their way through the rest of the learning process. We’re here to change that. If you’ve already had some surfing lessons, and want to improve, join us for a day of “beyond the basics” instruction.

This class will be held at the same time as our beginner lessons, but will be a separate group, with a separate instructor giving you “the next step” in the learning process.

As an Outdoor Adventure Club bonus, after the lesson, you'll be able to use your board for the rest of the afternoon and practice your skills.

After surfing, we'll hang on the beach or in town into the evening. It should be a great day to surf and meet other club members.

Our lesson package includes all the equipment you'll need for the day.
We provide board, wetsuit and booties for you. Because this is more of an intermediate class, we provide epoxy/fiberglass boards rather than the soft top boards you probably used when you started. If you’d prefer a soft top, let us know.
Once suited up and given your board you'll have a brief beach talk, and then you hit the water! In the water you and the instructor will be able to work on developing your skills. Wherever you are in the learning progression, you’ll be able to get instruction and feedback on your performance. Bottom turns? Heading down the line? Just getting comfortable while surfing? Wherever you are, we can help you improve.

Today's lessons are from 11-1. Class is limited to 8 students.

After class, we'll have a picnic on the beach. Those who wish can then go back into the water and surf as long as they like on their own. You will have the gear available to you for as long as you like without extra cost.

DON’T NEED LESSONS, BUT WANT TO HANG WITH THE GROUP?:
Come on out! There’s no need to stay away from the OAC surf scene just because you already know how to surf. Let us know when you reserve if you need to rent gear, or if you have your own. There are prices for both. And what's in it for you? OAC will introduce you to other surfers and “soon to be surfers” in the club, we provide a picnic lunch, and we give you a good reason for you to get out for the day.

Full day with lessons includes:
• Surf lesson with the OAC group meeting at 10:45 am
• Surfboard, wetsuit and booties you can use all day, even after your lesson
• After the lessons, we'll be having a full beach BBQ- burgers, dogs, veggie burgers, the works!
• General beach-style hanging out with other Outdoor Adventure Club folks after your surfing: depending on wind and beach conditions, we can play frisbee, or head back into the water on your own.
