Hike and Camp Sequoia National Park- Labor Day Weekend
September 3-6, 2010

Enjoy the 3 day weekend! We are going to be camping and hiking in Sequoia National Park this weekend, seeing the big trees and awesome views there. We'll have great hikes each day, and even a full moon hike to a dramatic viewpoint with panoramic views of the night sky!
If you’ve never been to this great National Park, this is a great opportunity. We’ll see at least one of the biggest trees in the Park- The General Grant tree or the General Sherman tree. These trees are truly a sight to see. In a word, they are HUGE! As great as these trees are, our guides know spots in the Park that will take you away from the crowds so you can get up close and personal with other giant Sequoia trees. We’ll also hike above the forest to lookout spots where, when the sky is clear, you can see all the way back to Mt Diablo!
We'll have at least two guides on the trip, so we can split our group up for hikes of different intensities. We can have one group out for a casual stroll through the big trees and scenic vistas, and another group out to power through 15+ miles of high country trails each day. The choice is yours! Either way, it will be a great weekend in the woods.
Back in camp we’ll have great meals, maybe even some of Jed’s homemade salsa! All your meals will be provided, but you might want to bring your favorite fireside beverage.
Experienced Club members know that Outdoor Adventure Club Hike & Camp trips are some of the most fun trips we offer. The daytime activities are great. The friendships that are formed during the day are solidified around the campfire in the evenings. It’s a great way to get to know folkson a more meaningful level.
