Hike and Swim at Bass Lake in Pt. Reyes

July 29, 2012

bass lake hike and swimThis is going to be a fun day for sure! We're going to take a nice easy hike to a great bay area swimming hole. Once we get to Bass lake we'll have a picnic lunch and spend some quality time relaxing and swimming in the lake.

Bass Lake is just a four mile hike from the trailhead. The hike is pretty easy, but there is about 800 feet of uphill hiking along the way. Total distance will be about 8 miles of hiking.

If the group is feeling energetic we can hike out to Alamere Falls and then swim at Bass Lake on the way back. Alamere Falls is about 5 miles from the trailhead, making for a 10 mile day.
