Cascading down the western slope of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Gold Rush Country is the scenic South Fork of the American River. Just a short drive from Sacramento, the South Fork offers exhilarating rapids and a great deal of fun and enjoyment!

Band playing on rafting tripAfter an fun time rafting on the river during the day, the party begins back at camp with a live band, dancing and great food.

The South Fork of the American is located near the town of Coloma, north of Placerville, and East of Sacramento off Hwy 50. Plan to arrive on Saturday morning by 10:00 a.m.

The Outdoor Adventure Club always uses professional guides for our rafting trips to maximize the safety for everyone. You may see similar trips offered for less money, but those trips generally don't use professional guides and may take on undue risk.
